Measuring and Installation

Measure the Panel Length

Measure the full horizontal panel run and select the closest suitable length from the product options.

Measure the Bath Height

Measure from the underside of the bath rim to the finished floor in several places before choosing the 450mm or 480mm main panel.

Position the Plinth

Overlap the plinth with the main panel, adjust it to the required finished height and secure both pieces using the supplied stainless-steel screws.

Top Lip and Bottom Sealing Options

Optional 5mm Top Lip

A lip is a small extension along the top of the bath panel that can slide behind a suitable bath rim. Check that the underside of your bath is straight and provides sufficient clearance before selecting this option.

Optional Bottom Sealing Strip

A compatible sealing strip helps protect the bottom of the plinth from surface water and dirt while creating a neat junction between the bath panel and floor.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in a two-piece bath panel?

The product contains one main bath panel and one separate 125mm plinth. It does not contain a front panel and an end panel.

Which main-panel heights are available?

Choose either a 450mm or 480mm main panel. Both options are supplied with a separate 125mm plinth that overlaps the main panel and is positioned to suit the installation.

Is the finished height adjustable?

Yes. The plinth overlaps the main panel and can be moved vertically before fixing. Sufficient overlap must be maintained so the main panel and plinth remain securely connected.

Should the plinth sit in front of or behind the panel?

Either arrangement can be used. A front-mounted plinth creates a visible stepped detail, while positioning it behind the panel produces a recessed appearance.

Is the bath panel waterproof?

The PVC vinyl surface resists everyday bathroom splashes. The MEDITE MDF core is moisture-resistant rather than fully waterproof, so all cut or drilled edges must be sealed.

Can the bath panel be cut?

Yes. The MDF can be trimmed carefully using a suitable handsaw. Measure accurately, protect the finished surface and seal every newly exposed edge after cutting.

Does the product include a bath frame?

No. A suitable bath frame or timber battening is required and must be provided separately. Stainless-steel fixing screws and colour-matched screw covers are included.

When should the protective film be removed?

Keep the protective film in place while checking and handling the panels, then remove it before completing the installation and applying any final seals.

Can I order a custom-sized version?

Yes. Custom-made bath panels are available when the standard sizes do not suit your installation. Follow the custom product’s measuring instructions and allow additional manufacturing time.

These bath panels are kid proof

We have a young family with kids in and out of the bath everyday, we had 2 MDF bath panels fail on us in 12 months which was costly as im not DIY minded so have to get someone in o fit them. This time we done our research and found the Aquacloak Commercial Panel. As soon as it arrived you would tell it was different from the ones we had before. It was expensive but we are sure it will be worth it. It have now been on the bath for 18 months and still looks brand new.

Will this bath panel fit my bath?
Each bath panel is designed for a specific bath type. Straight panels fit most standard UK baths. Shaped panels (L-shaped or P-shaped) must match the exact bath model. Always check your bath’s length, height and shape before ordering.
Is this bath panel adjustable?
Many MDF panels include a main panel and plinth, allowing height adjustment between 450mm and 560mm. Adjustable panels are ideal for uneven floors or baths installed slightly out of level. Check the product description for exact adjustment ranges.
Can this bath panel be cut to size?
