Standard-sized bath panels do not always provide a neat fit, particularly in older properties or bathrooms with unusual bath heights, uneven floors, exposed pipework or other obstructions. Our made-to-measure service provides a panel manufactured to the dimensions you supply.

Choose a Panel With or Without a Lip

A bath panel lip is a small extension along the top edge of the panel. It can slide behind the bath rim, but it is not always suitable because the underside of many baths is uneven.

Bath Panel With a Lip

A lip can help position the upper edge of the panel beneath a suitable bath rim. Check that the underside of your bath is straight and provides enough clearance before selecting this option.

Bath Panel Without a Lip

A panel without a lip is often easier to fit where the underside of the bath rim is uneven. The panel is secured directly to the supporting bath frame or timber battens.

Why Add a Bottom Sealing Strip?

A compatible bottom sealing strip helps protect the lower edge of the bath panel from dirt and surface water. Its combination of rigid and flexible PVC forms a neat seal against the bathroom floor.

What is the maximum custom bath panel size?

This product can be manufactured up to 2050mm long and 700mm high. Enter the required finished dimensions in millimetres when ordering.

How should I measure my bath panel?

Measure the full length and height required using a reliable tape measure. Take the height measurement in several places because the bath or floor may not be level. Download the measuring guide and template before submitting your order.

Why should I allow a 3mm fitting tolerance?

A small tolerance makes installation easier and allows for walls, floors and bath frames that are not perfectly straight or square. We recommend allowing approximately 3mm at the top, bottom, left and right.

Can you manufacture cut-outs for pipes or skirting?

Yes. Bespoke cut-outs can be produced for pipework, shelving, skirting boards and other obstructions. Upload a clear drawing showing the exact measurements and position of every cut-out.

Should I choose a panel with or without a lip?

A lip may be useful when the top of the panel can slide behind a straight bath rim. If the underside of the bath is uneven, a panel without a lip is often easier to install securely against a frame or battens.

Is the custom bath panel waterproof?

The PVC vinyl surface is waterproof. The MEDITE MDF core is moisture-resistant, so all edges exposed by cutting or drilling must be properly sealed during installation.

Does the panel include a supporting frame?

No. The bath frame or timber battening is not included. The panel must be securely fixed to suitable existing or newly installed support for the best finished result.

How long will my custom panel take to manufacture?

Custom panels are normally manufactured and dispatched within approximately 5–7 working days. Bank holidays and unusually complex orders may affect the lead time.

Can I check the colour before ordering?

Yes. Ordering a colour or wood-finish sample is recommended when matching existing bathroom furniture, flooring or wall finishes.

Will this bath panel fit my bath?

Each bath panel is designed for a specific bath type. Straight panels fit most standard UK baths. Shaped panels (L-shaped or P-shaped) must match the exact bath model. Always check your bath’s length, height and shape before ordering.

Is this bath panel adjustable?

Many MDF panels include a main panel and plinth, allowing height adjustment between 450mm and 560mm. Adjustable panels are ideal for uneven floors or baths installed slightly out of level. Check the product description for exact adjustment ranges.

Can this bath panel be cut to size?

MDF panels can be cut with a sharp handsaw. Acrylic panels can be trimmed with a fine-tooth saw. Curved sections on shaped panels must not be cut. Always measure carefully before trimming.

Does this product include a matching end panel?

Some products include matching end panels, while others require them to be purchased separately. Check the product listing for details or contact us for advice.

Is this bath panel moisture resistant?

MDF panels are made from moisture-resistant MEDITE MDF, ideal for bathroom environments. Acrylic panels are naturally water-resistant and easy to clean.

Is this bath panel supplied painted?

MDF panels are usually supplied unfinished so you can paint them in any colour. Acrylic panels arrive pre-finished. Always check the product description for the finish type.

What paint should I use on MDF bath panels?

Use MDF primer followed by undercoat and a satin, eggshell or gloss topcoat. Moisture-resistant bathroom paints and designer brands work extremely well.

How do I install this bath panel?

Most panels are fixed to timber battens or a frame using the supplied screws. MDF drills cleanly and acrylic panels require careful drilling with a fine bit. Full fitting instructions are included with every product.

Is this bath panel left-hand or right-hand?

Straight panels are universal. Shaped panels (L-shaped or P-shaped) are available in left-hand and right-hand versions. Ensure you select the correct orientation for your bath.

Can I return this bath panel?

Panels can be returned if they are unused, uncut, unpainted and in original packaging. Panels that have been cut, drilled or painted cannot be returned. Please check our returns policy for full details.
