Waterproof from the Surface to the Core

Unlike MDF and other wood-based bath panels, this NUIE panel does not rely on a decorative surface coating to protect a timber core. Its PVC and polyurea construction is waterproof throughout, making it particularly suitable for busy family bathrooms, rental properties and rooms exposed to frequent splashes or high humidity.

The non-timber construction will not swell or warp through moisture absorption. This provides added reassurance around the bath, especially where occasional water contact is difficult to avoid.

How the Adjustable Plinth Works

Measure Your Bath Measure from the floor to the underside of the bath rim at several points.
Position the Plinth Overlap the 100mm plinth with the main panel until the required overall installation height is achieved.
Trim and Secure Carefully trim where required, then secure the panel and plinth using the supplied fixings.

Please note: The 480mm main panel and 100mm plinth overlap during installation. Their individual heights should not be added together when calculating the finished height. The maximum installed height is approximately 560mm.

Front and End Panel Options

Select a front panel when only the long side of the bath is exposed. Where the short end of the bath is also visible, add the corresponding NUIE end panel to create a coordinated finish around both sides.

Important: Check the selected product option carefully before ordering. A two-piece adjustable front panel normally refers to the main panel and its plinth—not a front-and-end panel set.

Cutting and Installation

The panel can be trimmed to accommodate the bath length, surrounding walls, skirting or other installation restrictions. Measure carefully and support the panel properly while cutting, using appropriate tools recommended for PVC products.

  • Measure the opening at several positions before cutting.
  • Mark the finished cutting line clearly and check the measurement twice.
  • Protect the gloss surface while the panel is being handled and trimmed.
  • Use suitable sharp tools to achieve a clean cut.
  • Secure the panel to an appropriate bath frame or supporting structure.
  • Follow the manufacturer’s instructions supplied with the product.

Is the complete panel waterproof? Yes. The PVC and polyurea construction is waterproof throughout and does not contain an MDF or timber core.
What is included with the panel? The selected main panel is supplied with a matching adjustable plinth and panel fixings. Check the chosen front or end option before ordering.
Does two piece mean front and end panels? No. For the front-panel option, the two pieces are the main panel and its separate adjustable plinth. An end panel is ordered separately where required.
Can the panel be cut to fit? Yes. Its lightweight PVC construction can be carefully trimmed using suitable tools. Measure accurately and protect the gloss surface while cutting.
Will the panel swell if it gets wet? No. It does not contain a wood-based core, so it will not swell through water absorption in the way an incorrectly sealed MDF panel can.
How should I clean the gloss surface? Wipe it with a soft cloth and a suitable non-abrasive bathroom cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads or harsh products that could mark the gloss finish.

Will this bath panel fit my bath?
Each bath panel is designed for a specific bath type. Straight panels fit most standard UK baths. Shaped panels (L-shaped or P-shaped) must match the exact bath model. Always check your bath’s length, height and shape before ordering.
Is this bath panel adjustable?
Many MDF panels include a main panel and plinth, allowing height adjustment between 450mm and 560mm. Adjustable panels are ideal for uneven floors or baths installed slightly out of level. Check the product description for exact adjustment ranges.
