NUIE MDF Midnight Blue Matt Bath Panels with Plinths

Product Description

The NUIE MDF Midnight Blue Matt Bath Panels with Plinths bring a bold, contemporary edge to any bathroom, combining rich colour with the strength and reliability of high‑quality painted MDF. The deep midnight blue tone creates a striking design statement, offering a modern alternative to traditional white panels while still maintaining a clean, elegant look. The smooth matt finish gives the panel a refined, velvety appearance that works beautifully with brushed brass, matt black, chrome or polished gold brassware, making it an ideal choice for both modern and classic interiors.

Crafted from FSC‑certified MDF, these panels are built with durability in mind. The painted matt coating is designed to withstand everyday moisture, ensuring the colour remains consistent and the surface stays smooth over time. The construction feels solid and reassuring, with none of the flex or hollowness found in cheaper plastic panels. This is a panel designed to last, offering a premium feel and long‑term performance in busy family bathrooms, rental properties and full renovation projects.

The included plinth provides essential flexibility during installation, allowing you to adjust the height for a perfect fit even on uneven floors. This ensures the panel sits neatly against the bath, creating a seamless, professional finish. With fixings included, the installation process is straightforward for both DIY users and professional installers, and once fitted, the panel delivers a sturdy, secure result that enhances the overall look of the bathroom.

The Midnight Blue finish adds depth and character without overwhelming the space. It pairs effortlessly with a wide range of colour schemes, from soft neutrals to bold feature walls, and works particularly well in bathrooms styled around navy, coastal themes, boutique‑hotel aesthetics or modern monochrome palettes. Whether you’re refreshing a single room or completing a full home renovation, this panel offers a distinctive, design‑led upgrade that instantly elevates the space.

NUIE’s reputation for quality is reflected in every detail, from the smooth painted surface to the clean edges and robust 18mm cabinet thickness. With a 5‑year manufacturer’s guarantee, you can be confident that this panel is built to perform and stay looking good for years to come.

Product Questions

Will this bath panel fit my bath?

Each bath panel is designed for a specific bath type. Straight panels fit most standard UK baths. Shaped panels (L-shaped or P-shaped) must match the exact bath model. Always check your bath’s length, height and shape before ordering.

Is this bath panel adjustable?

Many MDF panels include a main panel and plinth, allowing height adjustment between 450mm and 560mm. Adjustable panels are ideal for uneven floors or baths installed slightly out of level. Check the product description for exact adjustment ranges.

Can this bath panel be cut to size?

MDF panels can be cut with a sharp handsaw. Acrylic panels can be trimmed with a fine-tooth saw. Curved sections on shaped panels must not be cut. Always measure carefully before trimming.

Does this product include a matching end panel?

Some products include matching end panels, while others require them to be purchased separately. Check the product listing for details or contact us for advice.

Is this bath panel moisture resistant?

MDF panels are made from moisture-resistant MEDITE MDF, ideal for bathroom environments. Acrylic panels are naturally water-resistant and easy to clean.

Is this bath panel supplied painted?

MDF panels are usually supplied unfinished so you can paint them in any colour. Acrylic panels arrive pre-finished. Always check the product description for the finish type.

What paint should I use on MDF bath panels?

Use MDF primer followed by undercoat and a satin, eggshell or gloss topcoat. Moisture-resistant bathroom paints and designer brands work extremely well.

How do I install this bath panel?

Most panels are fixed to timber battens or a frame using the supplied screws. MDF drills cleanly and acrylic panels require careful drilling with a fine bit. Full fitting instructions are included with every product.

Is this bath panel left-hand or right-hand?

Straight panels are universal. Shaped panels (L-shaped or P-shaped) are available in left-hand and right-hand versions. Ensure you select the correct orientation for your bath.

Can I return this bath panel?

Panels can be returned if they are unused, uncut, unpainted and in original packaging. Panels that have been cut, drilled or painted cannot be returned. Please check our returns policy for full details.

Does this bath panel come with a guarantee?

Many MDF bath panels include a Lifetime Guarantee. Acrylic panels include a manufacturer’s warranty. Check the product listing for specific guarantee information.
