NUIE MDF Soft Black Matt Bath Panels with Plinths

Product Description

The NUIE MDF Soft Black Matt Bath Panels with Plinths bring a refined, contemporary look to any bathroom, offering a smooth, velvety matt finish that feels both modern and timeless. Soft Black is one of the most versatile design colours available today — bold enough to make a statement, yet subtle enough to complement a wide range of interior styles. Whether paired with brushed brass, matt black, chrome or polished gold brassware, this finish creates a beautifully balanced, high‑end aesthetic that instantly elevates the space.

Crafted from FSC‑certified MDF, these panels are engineered for long‑lasting durability. The painted matt surface is designed to resist everyday moisture, ensuring the colour remains rich and consistent while the panel maintains its smooth, flawless appearance. Unlike lightweight plastic alternatives, the solid 18mm MDF construction provides a sturdy, premium feel that stays rigid and secure once installed. This is a panel built for real bathrooms — busy family homes, rental properties, guest suites and full renovation projects.

The included plinth offers essential flexibility during installation, allowing you to adjust the height for a perfect fit even on uneven floors. This ensures the panel sits neatly against the bath, creating a clean, seamless finish that looks professionally fitted. With fixings included, the installation process is straightforward for both DIY users and professional installers, and once in place, the panel delivers a strong, stable result that enhances the overall look of the room.

The Soft Black finish is ideal for bathrooms aiming for a modern, boutique‑hotel feel. It adds depth and sophistication without overpowering the space, working beautifully with neutral tiles, natural textures, warm metallics and monochrome schemes. Whether you’re refreshing a single bathroom or completing a full home renovation, this panel offers a stylish, design‑led upgrade that stands out for all the right reasons.

NUIE’s reputation for quality is evident in every detail — from the smooth painted surface to the clean edges and consistent finish. With a 5‑year manufacturer’s guarantee, you can be confident that this panel is built to last and will stay looking good for years to come.

Product Questions

Will this bath panel fit my bath?

Each bath panel is designed for a specific bath type. Straight panels fit most standard UK baths. Shaped panels (L-shaped or P-shaped) must match the exact bath model. Always check your bath’s length, height and shape before ordering.

Is this bath panel adjustable?

Many MDF panels include a main panel and plinth, allowing height adjustment between 450mm and 560mm. Adjustable panels are ideal for uneven floors or baths installed slightly out of level. Check the product description for exact adjustment ranges.

Can this bath panel be cut to size?

MDF panels can be cut with a sharp handsaw. Acrylic panels can be trimmed with a fine-tooth saw. Curved sections on shaped panels must not be cut. Always measure carefully before trimming.

Does this product include a matching end panel?

Some products include matching end panels, while others require them to be purchased separately. Check the product listing for details or contact us for advice.

Is this bath panel moisture resistant?

MDF panels are made from moisture-resistant MEDITE MDF, ideal for bathroom environments. Acrylic panels are naturally water-resistant and easy to clean.

Is this bath panel supplied painted?

MDF panels are usually supplied unfinished so you can paint them in any colour. Acrylic panels arrive pre-finished. Always check the product description for the finish type.

What paint should I use on MDF bath panels?

Use MDF primer followed by undercoat and a satin, eggshell or gloss topcoat. Moisture-resistant bathroom paints and designer brands work extremely well.

How do I install this bath panel?

Most panels are fixed to timber battens or a frame using the supplied screws. MDF drills cleanly and acrylic panels require careful drilling with a fine bit. Full fitting instructions are included with every product.

Is this bath panel left-hand or right-hand?

Straight panels are universal. Shaped panels (L-shaped or P-shaped) are available in left-hand and right-hand versions. Ensure you select the correct orientation for your bath.

Can I return this bath panel?

Panels can be returned if they are unused, uncut, unpainted and in original packaging. Panels that have been cut, drilled or painted cannot be returned. Please check our returns policy for full details.

Does this bath panel come with a guarantee?

Many MDF bath panels include a Lifetime Guarantee. Acrylic panels include a manufacturer’s warranty. Check the product listing for specific guarantee information.
